    Performance of Lullaby for an Evening Star by Kurt M. Mehlenbacher, a new solo for harp exploring an expansion of harp techniques and musicality within a fantastical form and variation.

A versatile performer, Kathryn Harms regularly appears as Principal Harpist for the New Mexico Philharmonic Orchestra and Opera Southwest. An avid promoter of new music, Ms. Harms regularly collaborates with composers to encourage the composition of new works for harp. In 2015, she was a recipient of a grant from the American Harp Society in support of - “I ran out of black paint and sunshine” by Kurt M. Mehlenbacher, for harp and string quartet. Ms. Harms holds the Master of Music degree from the University of Colorado Boulder studying with Janet Harriman and the Bachelor of Music degree from Ball State University studying with Elizabeth Richter.
