Lynne Aspnes is Professor Emerita of Harp from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and currently serves as President of the American Harp Society. Concurrent with her academic teaching career, Ms. Aspnes served in music administrative positions at Michigan as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Chair of the String Department, and Director of the Center for Career Development. Her performance and teaching career has taken her around the globe, from festivals in Australia, Europe, and South American, to concerts in Southeast Asia and across the North American continent. Ms. Aspnes holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Manhattan School of Music, the Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and the Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Minnesota.
