    United States-premiere of J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations for two harps


Marcela Méndez has developed a multifaceted international career as a performer, teacher, and researcher, as Principal Harpist of the Entre Rios and Santa Fe Argentina Symphony orchestras, recording four albums of Argentinian repertoire for solo pedal harp, and as an author of several research articles on the harp. Ms. Méndez teaches at the Universidad Autonoma de Entre Rios and is currently pursuing a specialization in Baroque performance of the Italian “arpa doppia” with Mara Galassi and Chiara Granata in Italy. Ms. Mendez studied harp with Elena Carfi in Argentina, Marielle Nordmann in France, and Mirella Vita in Italy.
