    Performance of the powerful and delightful double concerto for flute and harp, written in 2014 by Damian Montano, a composer and bassoonist.


Naoko Nakamura is the Principal Harpist of the Dallas Winds, a professional concert band in Dallas, Texas. In 2014, Ms. Nakamura performed the world-premiere of Concerto for Flute, Harp and Wind Ensemble by Damian Montano with the ensemble. As a chamber musician, Ms. Nakamura has appeared for the Cliburn at the Modern series, the Fine Arts Chamber Players in Dallas, and the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth. She maintains an active performing and teaching schedule in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and serves as the adjunct assistant professor of harp at the Meadows School of Music at Southern Methodist University. Ms. Nakamura holds the Master of Music degree from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University studying with Paula Page and the Bachelor of Music degree in both Harp and Piano Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music studying harp with Alice Chalifoux.
